semi slick tyres

Im after buying new semi slick tyres but after a bit of help pls 
At the moment ive got panaracer semi's on but they are getting worn now,had a quick lok around and like the look of the maxxis range as i want something that still looks a bit chunky rather than a skinny looking road tyre if you know wot i mean :roll:
any ideas on the maxxis or any other tyres would be appreciated.......
