I am considering buying a new wheelset. I have seen some alexrims ta19 with cnc machined side walls. Seem ok on paper, but has anyone any experience with these?

I would avoid alexrims I have had a few problems with them in the past, what riding and budget?
And what wheels do you need?0 -
i requre some quality xc rims and hubs. I have been offered some xtr rims and disc hubs but they are asking 300 and are used. Surely there is an alternitive, which are as light and strong? My total buget is aroung 250

How much do you weigh, and do you ever leave the ground?
If light and no then 717 on best hubs you can afford (probably xt) from merlin with dt DB spokes
If heavy and yes then 719 and as above0 -
I don't race but do ride often. My weight is 14,4 and don't leave the ground too often. Probabily 1ft max. You can't beat treea ferma!

I have had these alex rims, no problems when built correctly - seem more robust than my Mavic XM317!
250 quid will get you those lovely XTR hubs built into the 717 rims.0
