Garmin 205 Edge virtual partner question

Can someone tell me how to get the virtual partner on the display when you are cycling a pre-recorded course?

I understood when I bought it that you could 'pace' yourself against an icon on the screen, and it would tell you how far behind/in front you were compared to riding the course previously.

    On my FR 305 its:

Training > Courses > Select the course you want todo and say start, scroll through your screens and Virtual Partner will be one of them....

Yep same as the 205, though I agree its not obvious.

When you press start to start the course, your imaginary partner is the outline triangle on following the track, you are the solid black triangle. I am assuming you have figured out how to make and follow a course? (I ask this because its not obvious from the manual and takes a bit of trial and error) When you configure the display for that page, you can select one that shows your estimated time to finish and you buddies so u can also see if you are up or down when the gap gets big.
