Which 10 speed chain

Hi, just in the process of building up a Roubaix frame I recently aquired. I am going for a mix of 105\ultegra components but am unsure of what to do regarding a chain. I was originally going to go for either a shimano 105 or ultegra but after reading a few posts on here I am unsure of their strength and durability. The bike will be mainly used for commuting (the only time I have for cycling at the moment). A fair part of my ride is along a seaside track, so the bike tends to pick up a reasonable though not excessive amount of sand. The other chains I have been thinking about are :-

Dura-ace

or kmc

My thinking was that I would rather buy a cheaper chain and change it more often than buying an expensive one. Is that a good idea ?. What do you recommend.

Take your pick, I got the Gold 10 speed one from Ribble for about £18.

I'm running that KMC DX10 you linked at Ribble.

The bike came with one (Roubaix, full Ultegra) and it gave no problems in 18 months Summer/dry use, eventually replaced it when the chain-checker said it was a bit worn.

I won't ever *rse around with Shimano joining pins again. Have used SRAM extensively on 7/8/9sp but their missing-link for 10sp is one-use-only so switched to the KMC on 10sp
