upside down forks

Is there any reason I shouldn't store bikes hanging by the front wheel, leaving the forks slightly upside down?

    same reasons you don't store motorcycles upside-down i guess? dunno those reasons though something to do with brake fluid and fork oils?

    no real problems. Just do not pull the brake levers is they are hydros.

    Do you need to?! Lol, it's because of the open reservoir at the lever, which is no longer the highest point of the sytem.

    I dont need to pull the levers, but if theres something I shouldnt do then its a fair bet i'll manage it before too long :oops:

    Was down in Dawlish last weekend for a few days and wandered upto the station and there were the usual noticeborads etc. One of them had details about bike storage on FGW trains. You now hook your front wheen into a hanger from the ceiling of the guards compartment and strap your back wheel to similar on the deck.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
