training while commuting to work

hi
may i have some advice on training sessions for when i commute to work please.

it takes me 30mins to get to work ( & home ),which i do twice a week.
i then have an hour on a sunday

my aim is to try different trail centres,at the moment ,i can do 'follow the dog' at cannock in about 40mins.i dont want to hammer these rides ,but would like to complete them at a comftable pace

    The most obvious thing you can fit into a 30 minute ride is some interval training.

    Realistically though I'd just try and do a few laps of FTD at the weekends about 3 in a row should be about the same as Dalby or Skyline. I was in a similar boat, doing laps of FTD at weekends (usually 2), I went up to Dalby last weekend and managed a full lap (23 miles) without breaks fairly easily at a respectable pace. I think the most laps of FTD I've done in a weekend was about 5 a few weeks ago (2 on sat, 3 on sunday), more hours in the saddle should build up your stamina more than anything you can do in a 30 minute session.

    I do the odd 1.5 hour ride after work as well through the week, every second or third night. Occationally with a bit of swimming if the weather is miserable.
