I've settled on buying a cyclo-cross bike for commuting (has to be Evans cycle to work scheme) and some of you guys have already given your thumbs up to these two bikes:
- Specialized Tricross Sport 2008 Road Bike
- Felt F1X Cyc-X 2007 Cyclo-Cross Bike (normally out of budget but Evans have a 57cm on sale for £799. Can anyone advise on size? - I'm 6'2")
I was wondering if anyone has any experience or views of the following:
- Scott Cyclocross Comp 2008 Cyclo-Cross Bike (like the look of this)
- Bianchi D2 Axis 2008 Cyclo-Cross Bike
- Pinnacle Expede 2007 Cyclo-Cross Bike
- Ridgeback Genesis Vapour 2008 Cyclo-Cross Bike

F1x has no brazeons for rack or mudguards, so depends how mucky your commute is. Awesome bike, use mine like an MTB sometimes, much to the embarrassment of my Full Suss mounted mates :P
I'm a muppet when it comes to sizing, so can't help there.
The Genesis Vapour was my first choice, for no other reason than I thought it looked sexy :? .
However I could not source one anywhere0
