Hi all,

Ive got a minor, irritating problem that im sure someone can help with. Ive got a set of Hydraulic disc brakes and frequently the rear one will make A LOT of noise and give a fair amount of vibration under braking. Ive recently had the bike serviced by a very good proffesional bike shop and for a few days braking was great. But now slowly the vibration and noise is returning. The discs and Pads appear to be clean and there is no noise during normal pedaling.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

    What brakes.

have you double checked all the bolts are tight?

What sort of noise? squealing?, warbling?....

    What brakes?

Tried swapping pads between front and back?
    Cleaned the rotor with ISO?
Checked the alignment of the pads?
    Certain your pads aren't contaminated?

thanks for you comments and suggestions guys. I actually just gave my bike a really good clean and bought some disc brake cleaning spray, seems to have worked wonders. No vibration from the back and braking performance is great. This is my first bike with disc brakes and I didn't realiise such specfic products existed . . . you live and learn.

    Thanks.

I've got exactly the same problem on the rear with Formula k18's, brand new pads and brand new discs, brake just fitted by LBS too so not sure what it could be, any ideas?
