New, better wheels for £100. Fulcrum?

Hi guys,
I've finally got the money to splash on a Specialized Allez Elite, and since I can get some money off, I've decided to "invest" the difference (£100) in a better set of wheels as I've never heard of the Jalco Dynamics that come with the bike. Also they're laced to Specialized hubs that proved to be c@rap on my mtb.
I've seen a set of Fulcrum from wiggle for about £108. Would those be a worth while upgrade?
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks for your help.
Jon

Shimano RS20s for a tenner more?0

I'd probably go for Mavic Aksiums over the racing 7's
that said - they are all budget wheels - if you could wait and get the racing 5's - then that would be a bigger step up - they are very highly regarded wheels - about £150 though..0 -

I would still go for the Fulcrums. The RS20s are okay but not as durable as the Fulcrums. Well on a big lad like me anyway.Brian B.0 -
You see it's all personal isn't it. I am probably not as big as you so the 20s would do me.0

i wouldn't have the fulcrum7's - the look and feel like 'cheap' wheels
in terms of quality feel (this is perceived quality by the way - I have never ridden them let alone trashed a set through winter) the aksiums feel like a substantial wheel in their materials and construction where the R7's don't
now the racing 5's - the seem to be a much better bet0 -
the build quality of fulcrum is far superior to mavic-ive got r7's and ksyrium elites
the mavics were constantly going out of true until i loctited the spoke nipples and the bearings are much rougher-

'had', I think, and much deserved on the days of R540's and so on.
If you can still find R550/R560/R561 at end-of-line prices, they're very impressive wheels and better than Fulcrum 7 or Aksium : Ribble e.g. had them at approx £700 -
no use if you run campag'dont forget lads, one evertonian is worth twenty kopites'0

How about these, I recently swapped to these on my Allez. My LBS actually built them from me but they are th same spec.[

I am really pleased, they give a really smooth ride and you don't have to worry about finding any "exotic" spokes if you ever break one.0
