Hello, can anyone give me some info/advice oneither of the above bikes?

I'm looking for a really stiff frame and from the adverts these are just that but does anyone have any real life experience of these frames to be able to confirm or deny :D

Thanks in advance

    I would deny!

I had two Forces and one Impulse over a two year period - all kaput. Currently ride a Trek which is far far stiffer.

  • am quite surprised given the review in pro cycle I found  (however that was on a 2006 frame so maybe different - I dont know)

Thanks for the advice - much appreciated, youve just saved me wasting some more money :D

The Isaac Force was the first carbon bike frame I bought. I bought it based on the fact people were reporting it to be "so" stiff. I actually found it quite comfortable and couldn't decide if my 7005 alloy training frame had more or less flex then the Force. I came to the conclusion that it had less

The second Force didn't fair much better and going for third time lucky "they" decided to replace it with an Impulse frame. I only managed a few rides on this before I found a nice crack on the main tube --- monocock!

I was given a full refund and advised to look at a steel frame. Instead I went for a Trek 5.5 and found it to be so much stiffer it hurt the first week I rode it. I pressed on the pedals and it went... no give.

I'm now on my second Trek frame but all seems well at the moment. I also have a Colnago Extreme Power frame arriving shortly to share the workload! So it will be good to compare!
