Which pedals

Doing e2e in summer on road bike...but am not getting on with shoes or pedals post 50 miles.....thinking of losing the look pedals and replacing them with spds or similar...primarily for comfort reasons. Any suggestions?

    Shimano A520 are nice. Touring pedals so quite a big platform. Worked out well for me so far although I haven't done over 50 miles on them yet.

    m540 spuds and some good mtb shoes (Shimano, Spesh, Sidi...)
