Hiya Chaps,
Advice please
Now that the winter/dark nights are drawing to a close I was wondering what is the best way to look after my bike lights batteries.
Do I fully charge them before storing them? Part charge? Leave fully empty?
Do I need to get them out and re-charge every month?
Any advice please
PS. The lights are Light & Motion

I would let them run dry and just make sure that they are well protected in case etc before putting into storage0

So need need to fully charge them then store them?
Store them empty?0 -
sorry - I would make sure that they were fully charged, then used/run out until no charge left, then stored empty.0

be careful with that method.
i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure that li-ion batteries will die completely if left uncharged for too long. i think nimh can do the same as well. look into what type you have and see.
i will have a look later, but right now, i must eat. :P0 -
really - never heard that before?
Hope that's not the case as I have probably buggered mine up (although don't appear to have)
AND if so MIKET-62 - I do apologise and I really should RTFM sometimes :oops:0 -
DONT let them drain fully - just checked!
Need to leave some juice in... god have been draining mine!
Not that they have been used for a while, may put some juice in tonight!0 -
Cool
Thanks for the advice chaps0
