our company has just joined a ride to work scheme - (evans cycles) i've been doing the rounds and trying to do as much research as possible so i thought i'd try on here....
I used to borrow my flatmates full suspension giant many years ago so have a rough idea of what i should be looking for - though things have changed considerably in the last 10 yrs
I've narrowed my selection down to the following 3:
Trek 6700 disc 08
Rockhopper pro disc 08
Scott scale 50
i've been on the rockhopper & scott - both felt really comfortable for the short time i was on them - hence the dilema, as for the Trek i'd gone on similar spec'd bike.
Obviously any help would be appreciated

All three are similar bikes, and good value - the Scale being a little more racy than the others with the riding position. Will come down to simply what feels best.0
