Mavic Open Pro Ceramic rims - stupid question
What do they look like?
Just got a new pair of hoops from Hewitts, and while I trust them to supply what was ordered, there is nothing on the rim labels to indicate that they are the Ceramic variant.
They do look visibly different to other Open Pros I've had - sort of like a "galvanised" finish to the braking surface which I presume is the ceramic coating.
Looking forward to first outing on them in the p*ssing rain - once I've swapped my pads for the ceramic specific ones.

yes a hard grey coating ( semi rough ) on the rims
i use them with green swisstop pads & they are immense
buy a mavic rim cleaning block & clean them every 1000miles... keeps them tip top,,0 -
Good pic here:

Black painted and the braking surface looks a bit like a non-stick frying pan.0 -
