Just looking into the possibilty of getting one of the following. I can't spend a great deal (approx. £700) because I've only just got my new HT.
Which would be the best to consider...and would it be worth it?
Norco Fluid 3 Bike (2007)
Giant Trance 3 (2005)
Giant Trance 3 (2007)
Giant Anthem 3 (2007)
Kona Coiler (2006)
Cheers

Hi, Super.
Sorry, mate...I always leave out the important bit!
I tend to try and ride a bit of everything...although the I'm no DH demon. I'd like something that can do a little bit of everything. I do love climbing hills though, so it would need to be relatively light.
I realise that I'll get what I pay for, but I'm toying with the idea of buying a full suss. I've just purchased the new 'Rocky Ridge', so I can't be spending a fortune on a full suss if I do actually get one.
Then again, I'm also wondering if it would actually be worth it?0 -
I'd ride the Rocky Ridge for a bit! See how you get on, its a capable bike.
Anthem is light, but very racey with the steep angles and light weight kit. One to consider if you are a skilled rider to get the best from it - wont have the damage limitation of more travel, nor the stability of slacker angles.
Fluid 3 is a lot different, with the 140mm of travel, and the Coiler even more extreme. Both would be heavier.0 -
Thanks, Supersonic.0
