My wireless sigma seems to have given up the ghost and I'm unsure of what to do next. Should I get another one or go with the very in vogue Garmin, if so which one 205,305,605,705 or Decathlon do the Keymaze 300, it cant load routes but does all the main bits I want at £70

I want it for the obvious distances, ave speeds, altitude, lap times etc, navigation would be nice but I dont know if I would use it after the inital 2 weeks and I don't want to spend £300

any thoughts please ?

Polar CS600 if you want a cycle computer with heart rate monitoring par excellence. Garmin if you want routing and decent cycle computer with heart rate monitoring. You won't get the new Garmin under your budget but the 305 is good value now and considerably under it. Ebay is good for pick up bargains on them. You will get those that are looking to get rid of their old 305 to get the 705 so worth checking in there regularly.

I've had Polar and Garmin and would alwasys go with Garmin now. 305 is great.

I went through a similar thought process, and eventually decided that route navigation was over the top on a bike computer... I ended up with a Pro Scio 4.1 computer - it's has every function I could wish for, and was a bargain at just under £70.

Have a look at this previous thread for a specification and some pictures.
