A "nasty" is not a very good description. You say "saddle sore" but do you know what one is or are you guessing and may have "jock itch" or the like???

Its a sensitive (not painfull yet) spot that feels slightly hard/raised. I have had them in the past and sometimes they develop and it ends up bursting with puss :twisted:Mañana0 -
Neat surgical spirit should 'toughen' you up nicely - a quick swig might take away the pain too!Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Sounds like you've got one. Can't say that I ever have had the pleasure of one but I do
seem to suffer from terminal jock itch. Sound like you're getting good advice so far.

Sunlight, that'll do the trick
Expose the afflicted area to sunlight., it'll need about half an hour.I'm sure you can think of a suitable way to do this“It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best..." Ernest Hemingway0 -

I think I saw someone doing just that in Hartington on Saturday afternoon when we stopped for a drink. Well he had his bum sticking out of the car window - I can't think of any other reason
