Which Dirt Jump bike?

Hi, I'm looking to get back into general cycling for the summer but I also want a bike that can handle dirt jumping as I used to do a bit of that when I was younger, however I've been out of the loop for a couple of years.

So yeah I'm looking for a bike that can get me from A to B (longish cycles) but also be able to handle jumping when I'm in the mood.

So far I've been looking at the 08 specialized P2, the 07 DMR trialstar and even the 07 specialized p.all mountain although i'm not sure the all mountain is suited to dirt jumping?

any others i should look at? things i should know? any help would be much appreciated.

I know someone who has one, he's in to jumping but also uses it for fairly long rides. Don't know much about them personaly though.

Its suited to a bit of light jumping, but is not a specific jump bike. Problem is a specific jump bike doesnt have the nice riding position you want for riding their or for trails. Or in some cases any useful gears!

Can't you get it with a jump spec? DJ3's instead of the societies?
Or is the frame the problem?

wow that identiti does look nice but its a bit pricey for me, i'm willing to pay up to 700 for a good deal but i guess its one to consider, keep the info coming
