well its like the hole what you push your forks through0

Stop, think,
1 1/8th inch peg, 1 inch hole. It isn't going to work.
Try and return the forks, then try and get some decent 1" forks from ebay.0 -
can i have the tube cut off and another one replaced by an engineer?0

no. New fork or new frame."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

well you could yes, but thats like saying you want to chop of your hand and replace it with your foot0
-
what do you mean by that?0

oh by the way the steerer tube can be removed from the triple crown forks, could i get a new tube and use shims or something like that????0

NO. not possible. the crown is a different size.
NEW FORK OR NEW FRAME.
but for giggles what fork? and how much did it cost?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

as someone said above, i meant there's no point, yes in theory it could work but it just wouldn't be safe
if they're triple clamps you COULD possibly get a new set of crowns that take an 1" steerer but the chances are slim and the cost just not worthwhile0 -
I strongly reccomend that you take a look at www.parktool.com or take bike and forks to a decent bike shop for advice, before you go any further.2006 Giant XTC
