Triple to standard double - different length chain?

I wonder whether you can help out? I am currently running a triple the large ring is 50. I am swapping to a standard double and the chain ring will be 53. I'm not changing the rear cassette. Will I need to replace the chain do you think. The current chain is virtually brand new so I'd like to avoid doing so if at all possible.

    You'll be fine, unless you ride around in the 53/27 all the time.
