Cable Stay Bridge
What year did Le Tour go over something like this:-
http://bridgepros.com/projects/LePontde ... mandie.htm
I thought it was the prologue in 2005 when Lance steamed past Ullrich but I can't find any evidence for it.
Trivial I know but........myself and a collegue need to know.
Iain, where are you, you'll know.

It wasn't a prologue - it was a road stage in 2000 I think.0

Now I've seen a picture of the 2005 prologue I don't think it was that one.
My collegue thinks it might have been a team trial. He tells me little Spaniards were getting dropped going over this bridge because of the winds and the incline.
Any help appreciated. Thanks for your replies guys.0 -
I can't think of a suspension bridge but in 1999 the Noirmoutier bridge featured and saw Zulle and Boogerd get stuffed.

The Tour did go over the Pont de Normandie shown in the first post, but as a road stage in 1995.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0

I thought it was yet another bit of a bike I hadn't heard of.Dan0

Hi there.
If I remember right, the crosswinds blew everyone to pieces on that day. Bruyneel was fined for driving the Postal team car alongside two of Lance's boys who had been dropped.
Cheers, Andy0
