hi,

having trouble with a hayes sole brake, it is not stopping the wheel dead for example when i go to do a stoppie or stop sharply the bike just slows then stops about 2 metres later. i have tried tcleaning the rotos, tried new pads and rotor but still no joy i decided to try bleed them on the off chance this could be the problem but that didnt improve the problem either. the lever can be depressed a max of abotu 5 mm and both pads are adjusted correctly.

any help much appreciated

sounds like a trip to the LBS is needed.

do you have any idea what the problem is or if it can be fixed or will it be new brake time?

    hello
hales soles were never that powerful to start with i used to have to squeeze the lever extreamly hard to lock up with any weight on the wheel.

iv just upgraded to shimano xt with xtr calipers and the difference is unbelievable.

there could be soime thing wrong with them or just you need to pull that little bit harder
    lbs should know
