Blowout, small hole in tyre, does it need replacing?

Had a bang! and rapid deflation on a descent this afternoon. Luckily it was the back tyre. Turned out to be a snakebite puncture. New bike, only got it a week ago. I had noticed that this tyre had gone flat on its own overnight previously, but after reinflation it stayed up fine for a few days, until this. Strange.

This is the tyre with a new tube and re-inflated (click for full size, 159 KB):

It's a small hole but it's more than a nick; you can see the tube through it.

Should I replace? If I do replace, will it do me as is for a few days to a week until I get the replacement? Will it do me for a 110km randonee on Sunday? I have a Gatorskin handy I could lash on for the minute. Opinions appreciated.
