Quite small, enough to fit into a rear pocket on a jersey. But honestly it's one of the few items from Assos that's no better than the offerings from other manufacturers, it's just a few sheets of plastic stitched together.0

Yes, agree it's small enough to pack into a rear pocket. I've had one for about 7-8 years and think it is very good. The only issue is that it doesn't stay white for long.0

Yes, mine is a brown/yellow now! But I shouldn't have got it, it's nothing special and for some reason, the sleeves are huge, you look like the Michelin man when wearing it. Maybe more recent editions are better cut?0

What would be a cheaper alternative?
I really don't fancy the boil in the bag treatment ...0 -
The reason I like it is that I don't get the boil in the bag effect. I don't know what the material is, but it is breathable in dry weather. When it rains, there is some sort of reaction with the material that causes it to expand - it's like a jacket with goose bumps, very weird. Difficult to imagine I know, but if you get one you'll know what I mean.0

Is it worth the price or do you recommend I go cheaper?0

Well, value for money is subjective I guess. You can pay as much as £170 for a Rapha waterproof, so it's certainly not the most expensive. Like I said, I've had mine a good number of years, so it has been worth the expense, but there may well be cheaper alternatives that will do the job.0

I have two; one just wore out.. I use mine more as a breatheable winter jacket; layering underneath and is also great for just a nice windbreaker... I keep it in my gear bag all of the time, then if the weather turns nasty, I'll either slip it on, or stuff it in the back pocket..
I also have Louis Garneau's Gloucester jacket....not as light weight, but has plenty of breatheability (if there is such a word).. excellent jacket and much cheaper.Cajun0
