How do you tighten these? I have a pair of Keo Classics and the axel between the pedal and the crank seems perfectly round. So what do I use to get them past finger-tight?

Thanks.

You have to use an allen key through the back of the chainset.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Yeah, 8mm Allen key... Try put some grease before installing in the crank, and be gentle when you screw it back in, you can strip your crank!

    Hi there.

Finger tight is about right for tightening pedals - they'll naturally tighten as you ride anyway. If you overdo it you may have trouble getting them off again.

    Cheers, Andy

ps Grease - make sure you clean, then grease those threads.

Agree about the grease, and I used to think not very tight was the way to go with fixing them - until I started getting an annoying noise on the pedal stroke. I tried a lot of different things but it came down to the pedals not being done up tight enough - they were firmly done up but had to be tightened a lot to stop the noise.

I suspect this is down to individual pedal/crank combos - mostly just snug so you know you'll be able to undo them without straining is fine.
I\'m sure I had one of those here somewhere
