ticking from the cranks area

hi, on my cannondale i have 105's and when i pedal with power theres a multiple ticking noise and this get worse under more load, any ideas?
also my rear de-reuiller jumps and makes a noise. I heard this on the bike the other night and when i got home to investigate i put it up on its front wheel so i could frre sping the back wheel and i noticed this happenig. what causes this? is it just need set up correctly or what? looked at the wee wheel bit and there doesnt seem to be any thing wrong with the teeth. hmm confuzzed

Sounds like the Indexing is out on the gears and needs re-adjusting.

Most likely to be a dry thread either in the bottom bracket shells or the pedal axles. Try removing the pedals and greasing the threads first as this is by far the easiest of the two.
PS This is most common will aluminium frames / bottom braket shells0 -
well my frames carbon and i was just wondering where it was coming from cos it gets a bit annoying to say the least.0

Check chainring bolts are tight before you faff with bottom bracket removal etc.0
