Front derailer stuck
Hi,
I have an Eclipse road bike with Shimano RSX components. I'm stuck on the big chain ring on the front and can't get it to move back over. Is it something I can adjust myself (I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to bike mechanics) or do I need to send it to the shop for a tuneup? I'd like to save the $$ if possible.
thx

Define stuck?
When you try and change into the smaller ring at the front does the cable go slack and the mech refuses to budge? If so a liberal application of some GT85 or similar followed by phyiscally moving the mech with your hand to disslodge any cr*p in there should work.
If this isn't the problem take it to a shop.Cycling - The pastime of spending large sums of money you don't really have on something you don't really need.0 -
stuck as in it moves over to the big one fine, but won't go back to the small one when I try to gear down. If I fiddle with the little barrel on the cable, would that adjust the tension and perhaps help? and is it clockwise or counterclockwise to tighten?0
