SHIMANO Chainset Plug Tool

Morning Forum people...

Don't suppose any of you have the dimensions for the SHIMANO Chainset Plug Tool, used to remove octalink splined cranks ? I am at work at the moment and if i could get the dimensions I could make one before I go home - the 105 chainset on my commuter needs to be removed for BB swop.

Bit late but....

16mm max dia. which is 2mm long,
12mm min dia which is 10mm long
Overall length 12mm.

Hope that makes sense

You're a star those dimensions worked a treat, I made the tool while at work yesterday, and took the crankset off when I got home, can't thank you enough mate

When I got my 105 9speed bits I had to buy one of these and paid nearly a fiver when they first came out and that was wholesale prices, now you can get them with any crank puller it seems. If you got the means to make your own even better.

Glad to have helped, could have done pics too but would have ben much too long winded.

Yeah just as a bonus its made from our best quality stainless steel to boot 8)
