USE spin stix

Hi

treated my new wheels to some ti spin stix and the instructions state you should trim the excess skewer beyond the end nut - presumably with a hacksaw? - but I'm worried that'll knacker the thread and I won't be able to put the end nut back on. Any advice?

    put the end nut on before you start hacksawing

    I did think of that .....honest but I don't want to do it whilst the skewers are on the bike and if you have the skewer off the wheel but nut on and cut and the thread is damaged you won't be able to get the nut off to even try getting it back on the wheel.

    Am I worrying unduly - will remiving the nut after the cut re-form the thread enough to get it back on?
