Chain replacement

If you keep replacing chains before they've stretched enough to start wearing out the teeth, does that mean the cassette and chainrings will last a long time, through many chains?

What is the best way? Sometimes the drivetrain can work fine but when you think you're doing good in advance and put on a new chain it starts to skip, so I'm still a bit confused here... :?:

If you vhange the chain before it stretches too much, you might get more life out of the other parts, as an overly worn chain accelerates the process. But they do wear in together.

get a chain wear tool, effortless checking then.

Got a park one on CRC for £7 recently.

    Merlin single malt fixie (Commuter/winter/training)

But how do you guys do it?
Do you replace chains frequently and keep the same drivetrain for a long time

    or

Use one chain for a long time and then replace everything?
