Cycling on TV

HI,

This is probably a heated topic but I'm gonna ask anyway.

I know Tour de Georgia starts tomorrow and Giro D'Italia starting on May 10th, are these none Tour de France events covered on TV anywhere.

Being a freeview viewer, rather than Sky probably doesn't help. I have found Cycling TV but it doesn't seem to work on Mac, although Joost does seem to have there older coverage. I don't know what the turn around time is for getting events up as I only just discovered the application.

Any known live or highlights coverage would be most welcome if known...

cycling.tv is your only option for the Tour de Georgia. It isn't (and never has been afaik) on British TV at all. (TdG started today, by the way).

For the Giro, Eurosport has the only coverage on TV, but there are usually live online streams provided by RAI TV (in Italian of course).

This site is a good one if you're interested in watching cycling online:

If you want to watch decent cycling broadcasts then try getting them using torrents, see my post here: http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... 0&start=45

Demonoid.com (now back online!) has a good rotation of cycling race torrents. The back catalog is mostly gone now, after a server takedown, but you'll find this year's races from Paris-Roubaix onwards. thepiratebay.org tracks a few as well, mostly recorded from dutch TV. All the early-spring classics are there. a search with "cycling" should sort you out. Most races pop up one or two days after the running.

That's how we do it over here, where cycling on TV is non-existent and web coverage starts at 5 in the morning on Sundays.

yeah, they'll be going off here and there for the next few weeks. The backups are being reintegrated into the tracker.
