I think I need the 113mm one.

God how confusing is the BB market?! :?

The original one I removed is a Shimano BB-LP28

68 CH

BC 1.37x24

The review included on the page also states this is maintainable - is this a DIY job? Are the parts universal or only available from TA?

I have never replaced crank and BB assembly before so many thanks for any help with something you guys probably do in your sleep. :D

what length is the current one? 113? or....

how toos on park tools. if you have the tools then it is not to bad. if you do not have the tools just take the bike to the Local bike shop and get them to do it.

Yeah it is 113 I believe. I measured axle end to axle end with a micrometer and it is 113.87 :D so close enough if that is the way to measure it?

I wasn't very clear, I have removed the original BB and the frame is now bare, but I've never had to figure out what a suitable replacement would be etc. :D

Should fit. I had an 06 hardrock and I seem to remember it being 113. Do you still have the Isoflow cranks on it, becuase they are ISIS, whereas the bb your looking at is square tapered.

Went through three bottom brackets on that bike, they always go.javascript:emoticon('')

They are Truvativ 'X-Flow' (Sounds like an old Ford) cranks and are square taper! Cheers for checking though!
Do you know if the sprockets can be replaced individually on these cranks or do I need to buy a new set?

if the BCD is 104 and 64mm and the rings are bolted on then yes.

if you know what a X-flow is i guess you know what a BCD or PCD is? (same thing just depends on where you are).

I have a 06 hardrock and brought this:

Obviously it's a Splined BB but I find them to be SO much better! (You'd need compatible cranks if you got a Splined one)
    And yes I got a 69x113mm

Thanks - I think the cranks need replacing as a whole unit anyway so no biggy :)

the E type allow you to use a bb mounted E type bb.

the E type is only use with E type mechs or chain devices

Yeah what he said... E type means nothing to me... That's the BB I got, and that's what fits.
