Fitting Xt Shadow rear mech.

Is it a hard job to fit? Thinking about buying one but have read there is no rear barrel adjustment...So is a little bit tricky to fit etc.

Has anyone fitted one?

    same as any other mech. and use the adjuster on the shifter.

    I fitted a Shadow a few weeks back and had no trouble at all. Follow the instructions (which as Nicklouse has already said are the same as for a normal mech) and it should be a cinch.

    The lack of a mech-end adjuster just means that you'll have to reach up to the shifter to adjust the tension when setting-up.

    the shadow xt mechs are dead simple to fit, just wind the barrel adjuster on the shifter out as far as it will go (without it coming out) and pull the cable as tight as you can and use the shifter adjuster to tweak it out
