the other week i bought a pair of carbon itm forks of wiggle for £80 and on closer inspection the bottom of the steerer tube was just a complete mess ( thinking about it i should have taken a photo) why do companies bother selling carbon parts which lack a decent finish. how can someone like me ever be confident buying carbon items? its never gonna happen without a decent finish.

Structural carbon fibre isn't pretty - what's the problem?

Did you want extra weight added to the fork in the form of a decorative carbon layer?
