Anyone know the seat tube diameter on a Giant SCR2 ?

I had thought it was 27.2mm but now find this is not the case - must be measuring incorrectly as it appears to be wider .Anyone know the actual size .

    27.2 sounds like the seatpost size.

    What are you measuring? The outside diameter or the inside of the seat tube?

    measured inside diameter . I did try a 27.2mm I had lying around but needed a shim which I prefer not to use .

    My 2007 SCR3 has a sticker on the seat tube saying --Warning , internal diameter 31.7 mm, however as with most Giants it has a seatpin fitted with a shim.Seatpin fitted actually measures 27.2mm or thereabouts.

    thanks-looks like I will need to use a shim . Did not realise that Giant typically have a shim .

    if you go to your local giant dealer they should be able to sort you with the correct shim
