Anybody had or know of any known issues with Time RXS pedals..?

On a club run yesterday the front end of the pedal snapped clean away, lucilky it left a small section so I could at least clip in for the 20+ miles home, made climbing a little tricky though..

Not really the type of thing I would expect from a £60 set of pedals.

I've snapped 2 pairs of these now.

1st pair I snapped the front off, luckily I was about 200m from home, I took tham back to my LBS where I bought them and they sent them back to Time and they were replaced.

The next pair were than put onto my bike and had been fine until about 1 month ago. I was out of the saddle going up a small incline and the whole pedal snapped off the axle, which was still attached to the crank arm. I was none to pleased as to was about 20 miles from home.

I haven't sent these ones back yet, I probably won't bother, I think I am going to return to LOOK pedals.

Some Time pedals were subject to a recall a while back - if you haven't crashed them I'd take the back to your LBS for a look-see.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Here you go, although as stated on the link and as per Monty Dog, take them back to your LBS:

One of my RXS snapped clean off at the front. They were only a month old, time did replace them with a new pair. Now using shimano.

Wow that's worrying. Been using some RXE's for over a year and they've been fine but the racing clip and lack of a gold dot appears to make them eligible for that recall. Emailed CRC to see what I should do.

Just bought a new carbon beauty and was planning on putting some RXS's on there but I'm not too sure now. I like the Time pedals so maybe the Xen's would be better but they are a fair bit heavier.

it wouldn't worry me too much. of the half a dozen people here that have had the problem, how many have skimmed over it thinking "nah, never had an issue."

they generally won't leave a message to say so....

Yep, hardly anyone ever lists a post saying: 'I used my RXS this morning and my shoes clipped in and out normally'.
