rounded stem bolt

went to swap stems the other day but have managed to round off 1 of the allen bolts on the stem that clamps onto the steerer. Tried various things including a trip to lbs whilst on holiday and have decided to resort to drilling the bolt out. Unfortunately all the drill bits I have tried seem to make no impression (literally) on the bolt at either end. Anyone offer any pearls of wisdom (other than greasing allen bolts in future :oops: ) Ta
