75 km and then Yorks Hill - will be carnage if its wet or big groups of riders.
I think the left turn into Southbrook Lane at the bottom of Toys Hill descent (at 86 km) is risky - people who are unfamiliar with the area will be going v fast there so you will need marshals and a number of warning signs preceding it.0 -
Yes Ricadas your right to point out these areas this is all in hand have no fear of that.
We are going to have many marshals along the course in key points not just in the places you have pointed out along with warning signs and detailed route maps with full information on areas where riders have to take extra care.
The Safety of riders and others is our first priority.
Of course the descents on our routes are not like descending an Alps mountain but we do have many great descents on our courses which makes up for the hard climbs we also have like Kidds Hill and Yorks hill.
we hope to see at least some of London Pheonix team riding the Burgess Hill Rumble.

We have been having some people asking how hard the Classic ride is in The Burgess Hill Rumble.
I would say an average fitness Cyclosportive rider or club cyclist who races. should have no problem in finishing the event, The Classic ride is for experienced cyclists though and training for the event is recommended.
You can see the route here :-

If you don't feel that your fitness is up to the above. The Challenge ride which is 65 miles long is a good event to do, although still a test of fitness. There are some "hardish" hills in the ride, most notably Kidds Hill but the descents make up for the climbs if your not gifted in fighting gravity.
We rode The Challenge Ride in a small group of average fitness cyclists in March and we did it in around 4 and a half hours but we didn't stop.
I would say with stops this ride is achievable for most who are able to sit on the saddle for between 4 and 6 hours.
