What Am I doing Wrong With My Tyres

Some one has to ask a dumb question sometimes and this time its me. I have just bought some new tyres for my steed and I am trying to fit them to the wheels. The fitting isnt the problem it just seems as if the beading isnt going all the way down to the wheel so bulges a bit by the air intake valve. This should be so simple but I cant fathom it at all.

Thanks in anticipation.

make sure that the tube is not stopping the tyre seating correctly. IE. push the valve in a bit to let the bead move past and seat.

  • i had that problem with the valve section of the beading. i jsut pushed the valve into the tyre so as I put the last section of the tyre bead (at the valve) I pulled the tyre and tube down together which seemed to settle both nicely

Many thanks for that. I felt so dumb asking. I'll have to wait to test them out til tommorow though, but cant wait to try them out.
