I have just got a new bike and on my 1st long ride I got a dull ache in my lower back. I originally rode a 55.5cm Giant, and just got a 54 Focus Cayo. My body position is much lower on the Focus as I think the Giant was a bit too big, and I am not very flexible (can't touch my toes!). Do you think I need a bigger frame or is it just a newer position I need to get used too. I remember when I 1st started road riding I got a similar ache.

Every thing else is fantastic!

Hi, sounds like your new lower riding position might take a bit of getting used to.
Make sure the saddle is not too high or too far back, also you could flip the stem to raise the bars if it is not already or try a shorter stem i it is quite long.

You could flip the stem, but also it will take some time to get used to. And including stretching as part of a routine could help.
