29T Chorus cassette

I've put a 13-29 chorus cassette on my bike. ( I know, but I'm not as young as I once was.) The previous cassette was 11-23. I haven't changed the rear mech. I have seen people mention that you can get medium cage rear mech.

My question is, if the set up seems to work as it is; do I need to change anything or am I potentially damaging something with a short cage mech?

Do you have enough chain for big chainring/big sprocket? and does the mech take up enough slack in little-little?

Many people run the short-cage mech with the 29t cassette - even though Campagnolo say you can't. You'll need a slightly longer chain, but that's all.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I've run Chorus short mech with a 29T rear for miles and miles in the alps. Never been a problem. I've never shortened the chain either. It's a 53/39 on the front.
    Campag sales pitch.

I swap from a 12-25 to a 13-29 for the Alps and don't change anything. Same chain length and a short cage rear mech.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've had a good look at the chain & it doesn't look too short to me. Famous last words I know, but I think I'll give it a go as it is.
