Chain Wear
I've got a chain wear indicator tool (0.75% and 1% checks)
On one bike I've got a cheaper SRAM 9sp chain. It's done about 2500km and seems stretched between 0.75 and 1%. Seems reasonable, probably worth changing?
Second bike has a newer more expensive KMC 10sp chain. It's done around 1300km and seems to be stretched way over 1%.
Is this to be expected? I am heavy, but would still expect it to last longer than 4 months!!
(sure this has been posted before, but searching for chain or wear doesn't narrow things down much!)

OK thanks, I use a the CC-2 and checked my chain last night. I wasn't entirely convinced that it will properly on a 10 speed road chain, I dont know why.

In answer to your question 1300km seems a bit of a short life.0 -
I'd e-mail Park tool, waiting for an answer soon...0

Yes the CC-2 works. Replace at about 0.75.
