Anyone know which UK retailers sell the Ti version of the San Marco Regal saddle? I know there are retailers on ebay selling this saddle but I would prefer to purchase from a recommended retailer.

I got mine off ebay and it was fine - I liked it so much, I bought another one for my winter bike0

I've tried an awful lot of saddles and haven't come close to anything that works as well for me as the Regal.
The problem with saddles is that it's always a personal choice, because my local bike shops are a bit 'BMX or mountain bike?' I couldn't ask for advice so went down the second hand route until I found one that I liked.
And that turned out to be the Regal (having rejected a Pave, Arione, Flite and XO I was so happy to find one that worked for me).
If you can try before you buy do but just because it worked for me doesn't necessarily mean it'll work for you (sadly).0 -
I used to have a Rolls years ago and that was great but a bit on the heavy side. I am looking at the Regal and the Concor Lite. I have spent around £200 on trying to find the right saddle! Its an expensive business.
I currently have two Specialized Alias which are OK but not that comfy and tried an Aspide and I found that painful.
I kind of go on what the pro-peloton use as they are the guys spending an inordinate amount of time on their bikes, which has led me to the Regal. Both Boonen and Bettini have Regal's rather than a Specialzied saddle.0 -
It appears to me that San Marco are happy to make Regals for the likes of Boonen, but the UK distributors seems intent on flogging us board-stiff saddles for twice the price. Ironically, look at the prices that a Regal Giradi in white perforated leather goes for on ebay and you'd think that they might start producing them again - our backsides haven't changed much in shape in the last few millenia, but saddle maker appear to want us to buy a different shape every few years! I have an original Turbo on a early-80's Gios and it's as comfortable as they get - no gel, no cut out, just a good, supportive shape.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Didn't Ulrich prefer a Turbo saddle? I think I might purchase a Concor Lite. Looks comfy, it is light and won 7 TDF in a row.0
