Just got back, it was amixture of humiliation and pleasure. Humiliation because I got dropped twice before giving up - after only 17 minutes! - but pleasure cos I had to ride harder than ever before I think. To befair to me they were all experienced, young, several of them work for BC... But I'll be back again in 2 weeks time, hopefully able to last a bit longer.

After the first hill I caught up with them at the lights and they were all almost puking and sounded like they were having asthma attacks - indeed one chap decided enough was enough and turned round to go home. So, in the words of Ivan Basso after he got trounced by Lance: I did ok.
