I am looking for a new helmet, Got around £40 to spend. Anyone got any suggestions?

My LBS is running a Part Ex deal where you can save £20 pounds on any helmet £60 or over.

Gives options like

Met Estro down to £40
Spiuk Nexion £50
Limar Pro 104 now £50

All top flight I use the nexion and cannot fault.

The fit is of prime importance - so it helps if you can get to a shop and try some on - having said that, the Giro Monza and Bell Ghisallo can be had for that sort of money - alternately, for a more rugged MTB style/construction the Giro Hex is reasonable - maybe try your LBS or Halfords to try a few on?

I can recommend the Spiuk Nexion. Fine helmet.

I just bought a Giro Monza, as my Specialised Mountain Biking one is getting a bit old.

Feels light, but more importantly it's a good fit.

The Rudy project Kontact helmet is a proper steal from ribble for around £25, less than half price if you end up spending over £50 in total.

Stunning quality, and a great closure/tighening system at the back.

My vote also goes to the Spiuk Nexion - fine piece of kit
