Colnago (Sloping or not) versus sloping versus traditional
I'd like to buy a bike over the internet (ebay or the like) and need to know what size I'd need in each of the respect categories I'd need. I'd prefer a Colnago, but if I see a bargain in the other configurations, I may be swayed. I'm 178 cm tall. Thanks

If you don't know what size you need then don't buy on the Internet.0

Go to a proper Colnago dealer and get it right. Subject to how much money you have why not see if a European bike shop eg Como Bike will do you one cheaper. someone on this site got his Pinarello in Treviso/Italy and saved a bundle - enought to warrant flying out there for it.M.Rushton0

They both sound like good ideas. I'm in France, so coming to the U.K. is not really an option. Maybe I'll try an offical Colnago dealer and just pay for fitting.0

If you want a Colnago I too would recommend Mike at Maestro wherever you are.
Colnago sizes need careful consideration though, I am usually a 57cm but after a full LBS measuring / fitting I found the 60 cm horizontal top tubed Colnago the nearest to how my measurements came out and got my exact fit.0 -
Thanks! that sounds like very helpful advice.0

Another vote for Maestro and Mike Perry, I drove down from London one Saturday morning and he spent a good hour or so getting my fitting right then he fitted the bottom bracket and headset for free......fantastic service.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0
