Michelin Krylion Carbon

Is there a reason why online retailers all seem to have sold out of this tyre? I hit a pot hole pretty hard yesterday which made me p******e but noticed this afternoon that the tyre is also damaged so need a new one in red.

Sad I know but I don't really fancy having a mismatch of tyres and I like the Krylions.

You are going to have a job finding Krylion carbons about now, due to the Pro Race 3s being in development and now of course on sale. You could probably find them in grey but possibly only 23s, if you have a look around.

Wiggle only have grey ones as 20s.

I would be very surprised if Ribble have all these in stock.

They don't have any in stock by the looks of it - they're showing their email when it's in stock icon for all of them.

I've been looking for some of these as well. Any suggestions for similar alternatives?

    Except they've got no stock.
  • red was always a nightmare to get in the carbons as I sed to getthe for my old black and red spesh. I gave up in the end and just settled for grey ones. You could check with total cycling or bike uk or faililing that I got some off ebay.

If you can find them Vredestein Fortezzas in 25mm are a worthy alternative - but nobody seems to stock them either.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I just got a couple of 23mm in grey from Wiggle.

I just can't understand why they are in such short supply - they don't compete with the Pro Race 3 in Michelins range, they are a training tyre not a race tyre.

Michelin require the machinery to generate enough PR3s for the world. Obviously their tyre making capacity is finite so they will stop production of a lesser selling tyre in it's least selling size/colour in order to boost production of arguably their flagship model

Well I've managed to order a Krylion from All Terrain Cycles for £18 + p&p. Also bought a new rear light that I managed to lose on the same ride so not an overly expensive replacement.
