GP4000S Tyres

I brought a pair of these after reading that review posted here from a German mag ...
Can't find the thread now but it was a good test.
Anyway; the tyres certainly feel more grippy to the touch but before I fit them I have a question.
On the tread of both tyres there are two small dimples each side of the centre line.
This looks like it's in the tyre moulding; are these wear markers?
BTW - Anyone know where the old thread is - I couldn't find it with the search feature.

Let us know how they go. I am thinking of getting a pair
Thanks inadvance0 -
If it helps...I've ridden on them for about 6 months. Only ridden in the dry but they don't seem at all draggy and much more puncture and cut resistant than the old GP4000. In fact I haven't had a single puncture with them yet.0

I have done reasonable miles on GP4000, GP4 Season, and a small number of miles (maybe 400) on GP4000-S.
GP4000S and GP4 season are difficult to tell apart - perhaps fractionally more wet weather grip with GP4 Season - but then I run the GP4 Seasons on the winter trainer, which is heavier and more stable, plus they're 25c and run at slightly lower pressures.
In terms of rolling resistance, the GP4000-S feel great and roll well. Overall a big improvement on the already-good GP4000, although I found the 4000 slippy in the wet, and easier to cut the outer tread layer than the other two.0 -
