I've been tooling round on my triple for sometime now with the granny removed (I got fitter!!), and the middle ring switched to a 38t, so effectively making it a double.

However the chainline is not ideal, and as the bottom bracket (square taper) is on its way out, I thought I'd replace it with one of a more appropriate spindle length. The current BB has a 117/118mm -ish spindle, and I reckon a 107 or 110 replacement should do the trick. However my concern is that the bosses for the absent granny may foul the frame, so I guess I may be looking for a new crank as well.

Since my rings are in relatively good nick, I am massively loathe to shell out for a whole new chainset, so to that end I was wondering if anyone had any tips for where I might pick a RH square taper crank/spider with 130 BCD? Or for that matter any other advice on the whole thing!

For info, the original/current chainset is a Suntour Superbe triple.
