Woo hoo!

Saunier Duval have too many injuries and have given up their spot. All this on the day Michael Ball was sueing the organisers to get in.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

ohh nice :) - is this just rumour or is it verified? Would be a bit weird if they still did not get invited

Not confirmed yet, just likely. Saunier is out and Rock Racing is suing to get in but they're not yet.
Following the court hearing, Rock Racing initially confirmed to Cyclingnews that they were in the Tour de Georgia; however, the team's spokesperson Martine Charles later said its report was inaccurate and that the Rock Racing team is presently being considered to occupy the final spot in the Tour de Georgia, left vacant by Saunier Duval-Scott's withdrawal.

seems to be official now :) - I hope they ride well and get some good results so we can see some of the rock racing girls and hopefully some of the kit will become available :)

I REALLY want the green and black kit that Cipo wears on the cover of ProCycling! The best kit I've seen in a LONG time. (Not a fan of Michael ball though)

    Completely agree...

    The kit is awesome!
  • Is it just me then that thinks that kit is an offence to good taste? Makes Leaky Gas' use of lime green seem palatable.

Kit's okay. Its just the team that stinks.
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Could be, I think its a great kit, so much better than the usual boring rubbish we see. Brings road cycling more in line with mtn biking cool.

Ha! I consider Road Cycling cooler than Mountain Biking. Weird i don't even think of Mountain Biking now. It seemed cool for about 10 years, and now i don't really consider it. Not because i'm spiteful, i just don't think its that 'cool' anymore, more a kids and teenagers thing.

I love the kit, prefer the black and red, and would love to wear it, BUT because of Ball being a complete botoxed-psycho and the teams dodgy rep, i'm just not sure they are good for the sport so not sure i'd buy it. Want to mind!

I doubt road cycling is as much fun either in the city.

Can't beat road cycling in the countryside.

Rock and Republic have signed on as a title sponsor of the TdG now. At least someone involved in cycling in the US has some cash. I wonder if the Tour of California will have a sponsor next year.

The Rock Racing owner is something else...he's gone from threatening legal action to financing the race. I like what i read of the guy and hope his team comes to Europe. For the lstage he promises somethign spectacular...wonder what it will be?

Could they be the 7 Eleven of this decade?? Ball'sy  bad boys who don't really care. It would be good to have a team like that, but he;d have to ditch the dodgy rep riders for me..

Am not so happy seeing Botero and Sevilla there-unpunished, but I don't have any problem with Tyler Hamilton racing-he's been banned for 3 1/2 years and wrecked his career-what more do people want..must want the death penality or something? All he did was what the lot of them appear to have done...he's paid, let him race out his last few years for Rock racing

I agree, i was referring to the Puerto riders. Although should a lifetime ban be brought in?

lifetime bans would work if there is a reasionably high probability of being caught...but if there isn't it makes sense to a cheat to try, In any case...for a top rider a 2 year doping ban could wreck their career even without a lifetime ban...who would touch them? DOn't think we'll be seeing Hamilton in a grand tour anytime soon
